My personal experiences. I have an 84 runner that one time had 37x12.5s (parnelli jones) on stock gears. Pulled "ok". It would roll out but couldnt keep it in 5th much. Geared to 4.88's locked and it pulled great. Dropped down to 35 tsls but fattened up to 15.5 and I'm back in the same boat I was in the beginning. It actually does fine in 5th as long as Im am not in a head wind. Keep in mind in live in Texas (its flat other than overpasses, but there is a lot of them)

rbmoomba, ok thats good to know also. Over here i kinda run into alot of head wind and hill's so i need something that will pull my truck lol. It kinda gets irritating when i have to constantly down shift and up shift!
