88 4runner what is this part?
Hey everybody, i have a 1988 4runner v6. i want to put in an aftermarket water temp gauge and sensor. i want to drill and tap the part where the upper radiator hose connects to, but before i do that i would like to get a new one just in case something doesnt work out.
I have gone to the local auto stores and no one has been able to identify what the part is called to get me a new one. Any information about what this part is called would be really helpful. Its grey and looks to be made from aluminum and it attaches to the engine with 2 studs with nuts on the end. There is another hose that also connects to it and it is located in the front of the engine right about in the middle a little lower than the top of the manifold. Thanks

I have no idea... I have a 22RE. Is it possible that is an aftermaket piece used for flushing the radiator? I looks too factory for that though. I would find a Factory Service Manual on here for your truck and try to find the part in there.
Good luck!
Good luck!
