88 4runner v6 lift suggestions

So heres what im thinking of doing..2in OME HD lift and 2in 4crawler BL...My goal is to fit 33's easily with no issues. The problem is OME is really expensive but it's good stuff. So if anyone has any other ideas to get 4-5 in of lift let me know. Pics would be appreciated.

you don't need 4" of lift to fit 33's. 2" tops. Heck I fit 33 12.50s on mine with just a torsion crank up front. With a little more pounding and cutting, I probably could fit em without the crank.

oh and as far as I know the OME springs are the cheapest available lift springs out there for our rigs. Not sure if I would go the HD route though. Personally I would go mediums but I don't have a 4runner, just a 3850 lb pickup including about 200lb worth of tools and spare parts in my bed box.

2" OME springs and a set of BJ spacers up front will be plenty to clear those 33's assuming you have the correct backspacing on your wheels.

you do know you don't need anywhere near 4" of lift to clear 33's right?

4" with 33's seems really tall. 2" with 33's is perfect.

if your gonna wheel with a 4" and tiny tires, your probably not gonna like the look afterwards.

I don't even think it's possible to get 4" out of a ZUK mod and even if it is it's gonna ride very harsh to say the least and probably wont even flex well at all, which leads me back to my first sentence in this post.

This is my 89 4Runner with 33x12.5x15's:

This is with just 1.5" BJ spacers and a little t-bar crank - ZUK coils in back:

There was a little rubbing when flexing, so I did a 1" body lift - no issues at all now:

I used the 12" 125 lb coils - I love it. I lost a tiny bit of flex, but there is abosolutely NO sag at all even with my 500lbs of camping gear in the back.

Honestly, I have no idea - most people give the backspace measurement in inches, but when I got them from Discount Tire he told me the backspacing is 19..... whatever that means.

sorry I don't have a better answer - I'll see if I can get you a better answer cuz I would like have a solid answer for my own benefit.
