87 4ruuner temp gauge problem

87 4ruuner temp gauge problem
hi the other day i flushed my heater core and now my temp gauge is stucking. it will go up to about 150 stick and after driving for a bit it will go back up to normal temp and then drop back down to 150 and stick. the gauge is a after market gauge i tryed burping it today but that did not work any help would be great
