85 pickup frame swap

hello everyone im new here (and i hope im not posting this in the wrong section because it seems to be a big deal if ya do lol)

i would appreciate everyones tips, comments, advice, help or anything. i have an 85 pickup , nd to give you some of the trucks history, it was used on a buddys farm where it has been beaten to off the beaten path i guess (ill post pics when i get home). so far ive spent alot of time gettin the engine running like new its a 22r-ec with about 250,000 miles. the exterior im not worried about because its all simple things i need to replace, and the interior is in exceptionally well condition, the truck is all original an everything works throughout the truck. now, the only thing that worries me is that the frame is cracked in multiple places, and whrere its not cracked its rusted beyond repair to the point where i can poke it and it will just crumble. my plan is to just find a frame of the same style (does anyone know if a 4runner frame is the same as a pickup)and just swap my drivetrain and body. i want to use all the original parts (engine/axles/transmission etc.)to try and keep my truck all original. it seems like alot of work but the more i think about it the eisier it seems. has anyone ever done this and does it sound hard? i just want to get some input from you guys because youve all probably got more knowledge of yotas then i do.

any comments or thoughts are welcome and very appreciated thanks alot!!!

I did some research, and on the WIKI it says that they are basically the same...check the cab mounts on both, and like the other forum shows, you may need to relocate them. I would say that the frame's would be different from the 2x4 and 4x4 but not too sure, give it some time, and these guru's on here will be able to clearify.
