why dont you want to go with chevys? an hour at the junkyard and an hour on your truck maybe more will get you a lift. will be cheaper than a OME lift too

How will you be using the truck? Build it to fit your needs.

Ive decided to go with OME 2" for mine. Rode in one over the weekend (84 though) and LOVED it. I will probably try to keep the 31s on till they wear out, but 32s will find there way on eventualy...I'll see how it looks. Should be done by the end of the month. Servicing the front axle this weekend. Thanks for all who posted. I will post pictures after completion.

well this is going to be a daily driver , and an adventure vehicle , nothing extreme ,lots of camping, fishing , some 4 wheeling , Live in Colorado so there is lots to do !

What to beef up the 22re , put a soft top , 4 inch lift , and accessorize the heck out of it

Looking at re-manufactured engines right now , called this engine shop today was asking about upgrades for the 22re , he told me if i have an automatic , ( which i do ) there is no use upgrading the cam - to leave it stock don't waste my money /// ????? Any truth to this guys?

If so...wow i need to look at junking the auto and putting in a 5 speed ! dang it ! as a weekend warrior do you think i would notice the diffrence in power with the upgraded cam?

Okay, Got my knuckle service kit, rebuilding hubs this weekend and ordering OME 2" 'system'. My question is this: Heavy or light springs? I have small bumper in front and simple bumper in rear. I plan on mounting a winch and I also have a toolbox. After I get the springs and shocks set up I will be running my 85 with OME suspension 31 0r 32 BFGs and putting ARB air locker in the rear with open dif in the front. Thats for my DD / snow / light offroad. what do you think? and light or heavy?

thanks
