80' toyota lifts

i am new here...just got my yota for $1500....not looking for hardcore stuff..just kinda muddin every once in a while...not anything big though..i have 31"10.50" super swampers.....as in most older trucks....my springs and shocks are almost shot....i weigh 200 and i can sit on the tailgate and the shocks almost bottom out....so i need new springs...i want CHEAP..stuff....but good quality...i already have the springs eyeballed....but they come in 6in lift..4in lift..3in lift...and 2.5...i was wondering which ones i should get so i dont have to deal with any driveshaft issues....or anything like that..i was wanting the 4in lift....but i wasnt sure...thought i might ask some guys on here...i have no idea what lift it has on it right now...it might have started out as a 3 maybe....but it looks close to stock right now...but im going to be pulling a boat or a trailer every now and then...so i need some new springs and shocks...thanks in advance for any information..i have pics if u need them or if u just want to see my yota

Good luck. Higher prices usually denote good quality.

4" lift will need front driveshaft lengthened. The 2.5" may get by w/o mods.

Im running 4" Procomp springs on my 83, No drive shaft issues, But! I haven't taken it up to hwy speed yet. But theres no binding, and it has enough slip at full droop, Might depend on what brand the springs are though.

Dont think its so easy to just put 4" lift springs in though, You will need longer brake lines, longer shocks and a drop drag link for the steering or High steer, You will need to shims to correct the pinion angle too.

I would go with the 2.5 or 3. Are you planning on going with larger tires?
