My wife and I pulled into the gas station filled our 91 runner 3.0 four wheel drive up went to leave
And got a click. Checked the battery connections they were nice and snug with slight corrosion
Tried jumping it did nothing so I am thinking its the starter. Its been dragging lately so I'm guessing
It gave up on life. Going to get it tested tomorrow what is the easiest way to pull it off? If starter is fine
What else should I look at? Oh, and at some point in its life the negative shorted so I was going to repl
It also. Need it up asap my daughter is a week old sunday so we need the ac.
Thanks in advance for the help and advice.

It is probably the starter.
There is a link to Toyota factory service manuals in my sig, they are always nice to have

I pulled the starter off and had it tested and it passed. Put it back on and after trying to crank it a dozen
Times it started. Could it have something to do with the ignition?

starting problem
if it clicks when u turn the key probly starter contacts, if not
then check the wire that jumps from battery power to fuse box ...that connection will corrode and prevent starting.
