3vze idle surge

Hey everyone. New to yotatech as well as the world of toyota.
I bought a 90' sr5 4runner the other day with 219k and it was running perfect and still is aside from now, after spraying iut the engine bay at the car wash because the truck was sitting for about 6 months until yesterday. The idle will go up and down from about 900 rpms to about 1400 range. Only does this when it is stopped in neutral once the motor is warmed up a bit. Any ideas of what could be causing this? Runs very strong other than this issue and again it only started after i left the car wash. Any help is appreciated!

Possibly may have killed your TPS sensor. I would check/diagnose anything with the throttle body. If it's been sitting I would certainly spend the little bit of money for a new distributor and rotor. And if you wanna spend a little more plugs and wires. Minor tune up issues do a lot for the older toyota motors. Lol only cause they don't make enough power to make up for when things start to go bad
