I'm currently looking at a truck with a v6 3.slow. I was wondering if anyone out there has done a 3.0 to 22re swap. What I should know about actually doing the swap, any threads of people that have done this, and what I would need in order to achieve this (tools/parts).
I did a search on google as well as yotatech to see if anyone had asked about this or had done it before...Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

 

You'll need to relocate the motor mounts and the trans bell housing won't bolt up so you'll either need a R151 (turbo) bell housing or a trans. from a 4-cyl engine, like a W56. Probably a better bet to drop a 3.4 V6 out of a Tacoma/3rd gen 4Runner in there, lots of swap writeups on that out there.

 

forget the 22re, do the 3.4. it swaps easier than going to a 4 cyl.
