What tranny?

Any hills in your area?

DD or trail only?

With stock gears, it's going to be slower. Upgrading to 4.88's would give you a chance at HWY driving.

I drove a 4CYL auto with 33's and stock gears for many, many miles and did all right. I just didn't pass anyone.

It'll be fine.

Regear and it will be perfect.

I ran 33x12.50's on my 82. Wasn't bad at all.

Helped having a Weber carb on my 22R, but I digress...

My 4banger will bark the tires....39.5/13.50/15 Iroks. It is all about how fresh the engine is and your gearing.

what they mean by what kind of tranny is...is it a 5spd manual or an automatic..if its automatic then you will want i think 5.29's or 5.71's...if its a 5spd then u will want 4.88's unless u want to go up to 35's sometime soon if so get the 5.29's...im not familiar with the EFI setup...but hopefully some of the other ore experienced guys will chime in

My friends 89 pickup with the 22r has 33's and it seems like his truck wants to die whenever we come to a hill. And its decreased his gas mileage by 1/4 of what it was stock, but his also has 200,000+ miles. It all matters on how well youve treated your engine/tranny, and regearing would help to.

the truck you see under my screen name had 33,s but i also did alot of mods to the 22re probably added 40hp and it had plenty of go go juice in it to pull the tires at hwy speeds, if your motor is stock it will kill your mileage but it will work fine.

I am running 33's on my 92 4 gunner toy, and it does fine. No gears, or lift, just a bit of trimming and fab work in the corners. I drive it on the highway and can still run 90, if the wind permits. The pic shows 31's on it, but that is an old pic.
