You are still right, sorta. 81-84 vs. 85+ 22R heads are not the same. Biggest difference is in the exhaust port design. 85+ use a lightbulb design, where the 81-84 is circular.

thanks lots death couger, i just took my re head in to be milled as a mechanic freind loked at the gasket and head and noticed that the gasket wasn't crushed hardley at all on one side to the other. so to prevent futer leaks i'm getting it milled and HOPEFULY will have it back in running order soon. the po did more wrong things than right so i'm redoing what he's done already... ARRRGH !!!!!!
