22RE pickup suspension question

I’ve been looking through the inter webs but can’t find the answer. Or I find conflicting information.
Can someone clear this is for me: I have a 1986 pickup I’d like to change the shocks on. I was wondering if I can use 1st and 2nd gen suspension and leaf components on the little pickup? Thank you

Pic for fun and reference.

First and second gen what? Pickup and 4Runners of the same body style are not of the same generation. Within the body style of your truck, there are solid front axle trucks and IFS trucks, so parts are not the same.

Front and rear suspension parts from 86-88 Pickups and 86-89 4Runners will work with your truck. Rear suspension parts from 84 and 85 Pickups and 4Runners will work with your truck.

My apologies. I was specifically speaking on the 1st and 2nd gen Tacomas.

Nothing from a first and second gen Tacoma will work. Pickups and Tacomas are different vehicles. I posted the interchange info in my last post. If you're having trouble figuring out what's what, it's probably best to reference years instead of generations.
