22re cuts out at 3000 RPM

Ive been fighting this for a month now. I have new injectors, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, new TPS, New ECT, New AFM, New ECM, Cleaned O2 senser, Cleaned throttle body, Checked and re-checked vacumn lines. Re-set valve lash.
Still, after warm up it will not go over 3000 rpm, just cuts out if you hold peddle down, surges then sputters, surges then sputters. Up until warm it runs fine. Idles fine also. and if you raise the throttle with it out of gear, she breaks up around 3000 RPM. Any ideas? I am starting new thread here but getting kind of desperate. Engine only has about 8000 miles since re-build. Looking for a new line of thinking.

i had similar symptoms, finally cut into the engine harness right around the plastic 90 degree elbow piece, and found corroded connector junctions, in the wires going to the injectors.

Darn, I worked my way through the wiring harness and finally found the splices (almost where the wires go through the fire wall) they were in good condition, shiny copper color and all tight. What Next?

Just so I understand, if the engine is cold, it will rev fine to any RPM, just like normal? But once its warm, it starts missing at around 3000RPM? And won't rev higher than that until it sits and cools off?

Yes, that seemed to be the symptoms, but I just pulled the fuel filter (only 8 months old) and mud and rust came pouring out. I have a feeling this might be it since I replaced everything else. (yes I feel like a dumbass) I think I will drop the tank while I'm at it. Cant get a new filter till tuesday I guess hope this is it.

I was thinking fuel filter myself. Since it may be "time it's been running", and coincidentally "time to warm up", if that makes sense. It runs for a bit til the filter becomes clogged, since it may "back-flush" when it sits for a bit. Just a thought anyway. Hopefully that's the problem, but keep us informed.

Dropped the tank and it was full of crap. The screen was disintergrated and all the stuff was in the pump. Just for information to others, that screen doesn't last too long.
