22re to a 22r? Would it work?

22re to a 22r? Would it work?
So I have been needing to swap out engines because my 22re is preatty much gone. Ive looked fro a 22re, but I cant find anything but 22rs.
I think that this swap should work (if the new motor is the same cylinder count,etc) and the only really big difference is the EFI, but I just wanted some renforcement in my hopes.
If any body can tell me if this would work or not id really appreciate it.

welcome to YT! this has been talked about alot. im sure searching will help you find what you need but it is a very easy swap!
