i have 1995 4runner 22r engine i want to put the 3.0 engine but any one know if the gearbox in 22r can hold the 3.0 engine ?????????

and why they heck would you swap a 22RE for a 3.0? that's like going from bad to worse (in most peoples opinions....i love my 3.0 )

 

In my country it all hills and the 22r it can hold the weight of the car and it eat gas a lot . that s why I want to swap it ..

 

well if you think the 22R eats gas, you should drive a rig with the 3.0 roflmao

my part of the country doesn't have very many hills, and with my fresh rebuild on my 3.0..i'm lucky to squeeze 15mpg out of it if i'm being VERY easy on it.
