Hey there yota techers. I know there aren't a lot of 1st gen tundra owners out there but maybe this can cross over to other toyotas. Just bought a used 2000 tundra 4x4 V8.

The fuel gage is not working properly. When I bought the the truck the gage read 1/4 of a tank (thanks for selling me a truck with an empty gas tank) so I filled it up on the way home. The gage lifted a little but has not moved past a point between 1/2 and 1/4.

My limited experience tells me that when your gage has problems it's not worth fixing.

Just wondering if anyone has any trouble shooting ideas I could look into first
