If someone could guide me to the right thread or person to talk to here I would greatly appriciiate it. I let a young man take one of my runners (1988 sr5) and install a lexus LS400 motor in it. As far as the motor install, it appears he did well. He also got the computer working correctly(I believe). I have small issues like over heating, AC, bent drive line, and other stuff that I believe I can resolve. The one thing that is botched is the tranny and clutch. He was suppost to buy a bell housing mod with a slave cilynder mount and he didn't(he fabbed a plate). He was supposed to use my original 5 speed tranny and didn't. I have just had my original 5 speed and transfercase rebuilt. He refuses to complete the job and now I am stuck. I am in NV and SoCal. Any help or direction would be appriciated. Where in NV are you at? Also what 5spd trans are you wanting to use?

Oh ok if you were closer to northern nv I would definitely be able to help you out but thats a little far for me. If I were you I would get the adapter bellhousing and use your trans. I know that was your intention and it sucks that you got screwed. You can possibly try to sell the trans that he used to get some money for the right adapter.

He young and he has personal problems. The bottom line is it's my problem. Do you know what clutch and bell housing kit I should use for this mod? Do you know where to find all these parts? Do I use the stock clutch master and slave? This was a 3.0 v6 sr5 originally.
