1st Gen Runner Dash Pic - Please

So I picked up an 87 4runner dash to replace the mess that the PO made of my interior (these things are so unbelievably hard to find in good condition - and I'm still missing ducts). I'm in the process of installing it but have a few questions.

First, is there a bar or something that the bottom of the glove box attaches to? How does it hang on there while it's open? Anyone have a picture?

Second - and probably most importantly - can anyone post up a picture of the very top of the dash? I have a pretty uniform gap (still) between the top of the gauge cluster trim/dash pad and the windshield. Is this because I got a dash out of an 87? I feel like there's supposed to be a vent or something for defrosting the windshield that I might be missing...

And finally, I have 5 connectors on the driver side (far left near door). I know what 3 of them are for, but not the other 2. The 3 I know for sure are the deck lamp switch, the defroster and the clutch cancel switch. The PO had them all zip tied together and none of them seem to reach the right side of the steering column. Anyone know what the other 2 might be for?

Thanks again for everyone's help.

Ok - So I've answered the first 2 questions. Yes there is a reinforcement bar that the glove box attaches to. And yes there is an upper instrument panel piece that I'm missing.

I still don't know what the connectors are for. One might be for the antenna (but I thought that was in the radio bezel...) I'm not sure.

my '88 also has an extra connector or 2 on teh left side of the dash - I think one is for the electric mirrors that never came with my truck (SR5 option), if they don't plug into anything you currently have, write it off as options you don't have

*edit* I found this pic of an immaculate interior in another thread for you, you can see the mirror control next to the defroster switch
