I have a 96 4runner SR5 2wd that I need to replace front bearings on. I have read the threads on that and feel that I can do it by borrowing a buddy's press. However, I am having trouble removing the inverted axle end cap. I have tried prying with a screw driver and grasping with channel locks. I'm not sure what else to try. Is there a trick that I don't know about? Any help is greatly appreciated.
