1993 4runner 3vze. One click, then nothing
Went to start my 93 and it clicked once, then I lost all dash lights. No hazards. Good battery, used a second as a jumper. Nothing. There was a clicking (relay)(4-6) sound from under the radio area.

Found it
After reading a couple of threads, and calming down some (happened when I was getting ready to go to work, so I was a little stressed). I started looking for voltage and current, and found a globular e-tape wrap inside the anti-chafe sleeve on the positive battery wire. Repaired the almost comical 'splice' hidden inside (white wire ... ), and while I was doing so, noticed that the battery connection for same felt like a ball joint as opposed to a solid wire. Unwrapped and repaired terminal end after noticing about 1/2 the strands broken. 25 years of wiggle, jiggle, remove, and reinstall can sure take its toll on wire connections.
Hope this helps someone in the same situation.
Still don't know what that relay click is - did it again during battery reconnect.

Good thing you found it out.
Toyota components are bullet-proof. Problems arise from poor connections, bad assembly work and maintenance.
Re: Relay. Gotta feel/hear exactly which relay it is and post a picture of it so people who want to and may be able to help but may be miles away may see it.

Thanks or the reply
I just saw it .... shame
I'll shoot a pic and post it - I can't see/feel a relay in the area of the sound.
Either my hearing is worse than I'm willing to admit, or it's behind the plastic shroud that holds the radio, etc..
I did pull the radio, but no help.
Haven't heard it again
