1989 4runner Nerf Bars---yes again

Most of the posts on this site looking for nerf bars are old. I want some nerf bars for my 1989 4runner. This is a clean family truck and I need them to help my kids get in and out. Sliders won't work. It doesn't look like anyone makes these anymore specifically for the this rig. Does anyone know if there are any that are compatible with some minor mods? Anyone have some nice ones for sale?

Thanks for your time.

I have some sort of nerf bars. Not exactly sure where they are right now though. And one of the weld's broke...they could also use a good sanding and repainting haha. I'll see if I can find them and snap a picture if your interested at all

I have a pair of Smitty Built nerf bars for much the same reason as the OP, I got them from WabFab (he pulled them off of a recently-purchased project).

The nice thing about the Smitty Built ones is they're 100% bolt-on.

Keep your eyes open on the forums, maybe bribe a moderator to move this to the "wanted" forum and do an occasional bump.

Sliders can work!

weld them lower and flatter. Then simply spray the top with liner and you got a nice step that spans the length of the rocker. Makes getting in the bed easy
