Hi All - what is this outlet next to gas cover release? Is it for a light similar to landcruisers?

thank you in advance.

I wondered the same thing after I got my truck, then found the little black bag in the back. I haven't seen another one like it.

It is a work light, and yes it has a good 10 ft(ish) cord and a hook.

RBX just wrote about this in his build up thread too. Been wondering for 10 years what that is....

Jesse- is it "hot" with 12V all the time or only with ACC?

No, it works off the same circuit that controls the cargo light in the back. It will work without the key, just turn on the running lights and flip that little orange and black switch to the right of it. This is how you also turn on that back cargo light..It took me 3 years to figure out that switch had to be on before it worked.

I've got one of those lights as well, the cord hasn't even been undone. I have to keep an eye one it, though. DeathCougar keeps trying to steal it when he is over. SMH.
