I have an 86 4runner that I did a solid axel swap on.... I bought a matching set of axels out of an 83 Toyota truck .... My 1st question is can I pull the center section out of the 83 rear axel and stick it in my 86 rear end with no issues... Here's my second question... Do I even have to do it? My 4runner came stock with 4.30 gears.... The truck axels ring gear says they are 4.375 gears....sooooo are they the same and just playing a numbers game like chevy does with their " 350 " small block that is actually like 348.7 or something like that

refer to the paint code on the end of the pinion flange shaft, the color code for 4.30 is blue.
