1986 4Runner Diagnostic Ports - I think I blew something

Hi all,

1986 4Runner with 22re. The check engine light was on, so I went to jump what I *thought* was the check engine light diagnostic port.

However, I jumped it's larger brother, the other diagnostic port that sits on the driver side fender. After doing so, the check engine light went off (yay?), but that truck doesn't seem to want to start.

I assumed I blew a fuse, but a quick spot check didn't reveal anything obvious. I lost the light about this time, so I'll have to go and do some more investigating tomorrow, but figured I would post here and see if anyone could give me some direction on what I might have done.

1. What is the other port used for?
2. What might have blown when I crossed the ports on this one?

TIA!

Red face

Pictures might be a big help !!

Showing the color wires of what you jumped

Knowing just what you jumped was it a check connector or a plug just not connected.

A problem well-stated is a problem almost solved.
