Windshield trim wanted! (1st Generation 4Runner)

I have a clean '85 4Runner and need the trim that goes around the windshield. I'd prefer the chrome, but have read that the black is actually painted over the chrome, so I'd also look at a black set if this holds true. Thanks!

Yota Jim's out here in Denver likely has this. They will ship at no markup.

No I don't work there --but they've always come through for me.

Stay in touch if you need help with pics or pickup or whatever.

Putting up your location helps incredibly-edit your sign in name to include it. Some guy right down the street may have it....

Ive got a full set out of my 87. I assume it was black originally, but most of that has chipped of revealing the chrome. My set is in decent shape, no cracks bends ect. pm me if your interested with an offer and I will post up some pics for you to look at!

Go with the rubber gasket. Seats up better, less chance of crap getting caught up underneath it and causing rust. Before and after:

Sorry friend, but no. It's actually a generic part. When I had it repainted I had the old winshield taken out and all the metal was cleaned and fixed before the repaint. When it was time for the new windshield I told the "glass man" what I wanted and he hit a home run! I would imagine most glass installers could locate one.

93toy, thanks for the heads up on this part. I'm adding it to my list.

What Ron (if I may call you Ron) said is dead on accurate. If you lived near me, I'd let you rummage through my yard. There's tons of guys on here who I'm sure would do the same thing. Good luck whatever you decide.
