Spare tire hoist needed

The hoist on my 94 pickup is toast. I tried to free it up and it broke in the process. I found a few used ones on ebay but said they are for a 2wd. I need a 4wd. maybe i can modify where the part that passes thru the center of the wheel to fit mine? anyone know of a hoist off another year that would work on my truck? or any another fix to secure my spare where it supposed to be under the box?

Use the 2wd hoist and just swap your existing wheel center locator to the 2wd hoist..

Has anyone come up with their own design for a custom tire mount in the same location? I don't like my chances of finding a donor locally to get another hoist from.

The 4Runner version is a little different.
First it uses a cable but I have never had any problems with it holding 33"
It uses 4 bolts instead of 3 that the truck do but after looking at the cross member on my truck it has the same mounting holes.
The 4Runner version (The type mine is) is a 2 peace shaft connected type, This can be mounted to pickups but you need to drill 1 hole and tap 2 on the frame to make it work correctly.
I will try and post a pic later.
