​​​​​​I have an 86 and I've given up on converting the interior to gray. I've embraced the brown. That being said, I would love the following:

Dash pad and gauge cover from 88-89.

Door panels from an 88 or 89, in brown, with the newer style power windows/locks. I'm not going to even post what I would do for those panels. I know they exist. I would do unspeakable things for them.

I take it you have a 4runner then? I have 86 pickup brown interior parts, and some blue 86 4runner interior parts. I used to have a full gray interior for a standard cab pickup, but I'm pretty sure I sold the dash pad out of it. I'd have to check but I think all the crack free passenger dash pads I had are gone . Is there a reason for the 88-89 gauge cluster cover vs say a 86? I also have SR5 brown door panels from an 86 xtra cab pickup which had vent windows in the doors, but it was manual crank windows instead of power windows (never have power windows truck yet).

Still looking for parts? I just picked up an 86 pickup with gray interior if you wanted to try going the gray route again.

 

I think i am going to stick with brown. Changing to gray would mean way to many parts

 

Thanks for getting back to me. Sorry my response was so slow. The reason for the 87+ dash parts is that the dash pad and gauge cluster cover are updated in 87. They are a little bigger and look a little nicer. That's really it. And it's my understanding the dash pad and cover have to be the same style. I did just pickup a cluster cover, so now I just need the dash pad.

 

How nice do you need the passenger dash pad? I have two 87 pickups, one of the pads isn't too bad, but both are cracked, and both are the correct 87+ style you want (short pocket as what a lot of people call them). Both trucks are gray interior. I didn't think about the 87 pickup before, and the 2nd I just got a couple weeks ago.

 

I have brown interior parts all in good condition. Mostly out of an 85 4runner. Other parts as well. If still interested or still searching PM me.

Wow, that's quite the collection of parts! Wish I had the time and space right now to grab a bunch of that stuff, but I'm about to park my '85 for a few months and head down to Ecuador.

Please hang onto your collection for awhile!

 

Are you still looking for the brown dash parts? I have a complete dash in brown, I made the change from brown to gray so now I can sell off my brown parts. It really would help if you had a list with the numbers on the backs of the pieces you need
