Wheel offset on 2005 sport

Wheel offset on 2005 sport

I am lifting my 2005 sport 3" in suspension and 1 1/2 body. The 17" x 9" wheels that i am interested in have a -12mm offset. I believe stock is +30. I plan on running 285/70/17 {32.5"} tires. This calculates out to the wheel sticking out 2 3/8" further from the stock position. I really did not want them to hang out that far from the body but i read a thread recently that sid that the 285's will rub with the stock wheel because it is not offset much. Any insight?

I replied to your PM. I forgot the offset to backspacing conversion, but it seems that 2 3/8's inches further out is quite a bit. You might have problems with your tires hitting your fender. Let someone else chime in before you take my word for it.
