If you just want something to cover up some tears or w/e... thats a decent price, but of course, you get what you pay for.

no. they're neoprene.

iirc, mine were a little sticky or "tacky" out of the box, but that soon wears off so your clothes don't stick to the seats.

yow... that's pretty quick for them to fade. did you have window tint or use a sunshield when you parked?

it took about 6 years for my friend's covers to fade on his surf truck (he has tint, but no sunshield) and parks it in the sun every day.

i've had mine for 10, and they're a bit faded, and worn on the edges where you slide in and out of the seat, but no tears and still true to the original colors. i've got tint and use a sunshield every day (parked in the sun, beach car, etc...).

i've heard that the darker colors tend to show fading faster than the lighter colors (friend's ones were black, mine are teal/grey).

they have cleaner/conditioner and uv protectant available for their seat covers, i've been using the protectant, so maybe that's why mine lasted a couple of years longer than my friend's ones, i dunno.

when he went to buy new seat covers, they saw his old, faded ones and gave him a pretty good discount on new covers for his truck. they didn't have to do this, seeing as how they were pretty old, but we thought it was pretty nice of them.

hmm. prices have gone down considerably since i got my covers for my car around 10 years ago and my wife's T4R (maybe about 7 or 8 yrs ago).

according to their website pricing, the f/r seats for her new T4R are much less than what i paid for f/r seat covers years ago (even with a discount), and they didn't have nearly as many options, colors, etc...

argh.

I'm negotiating the deal and we might go with not only 4th Gen. 4Runner, but others as well. So, PLEASE, check the first post and see if you're there. If not, PLEASE let me know ASAP.

sorry - had a quick question re: group buys. in some cases, they require all the items to go to a single location, and then get parceled out from there. can wet okole just drop ship to home addresses, or do they want to ship to a single location?

i'm looking at f/r covers for my wife's 06 T4R, but the wet okole store is about 15 min away from my office, so it would probably be quicker for me to just go there myself so they can install them for me.

UPDATE. Deadline: May 14th

OK. We got a deal. Unfortunatelly Wet Okole doesn't want to make a separate deal with us as we have very little number of rows. Somehow they want now min 150 rows. So after some negotiation I managed to combine our list to ToyotaNation list (they had less then minimum as well) and now together we have necessary number.

Please email Tug Slug (tug_slug3 at yahoo.com) with the folowing information: (Put "WetOkole GB - Toyota120Forum" in the Subject)
Name, Number of rows, Email, Screen name, Vehicle, and our Forum (Use Toyota120 as the forum as all the information was accumulated there and put a side note YotaTech).
Last one is needed so he knows that we're coming from our GroupBuy list.

Deal is 20% off the list price.
Tacoma guys there also receive free console cover ($20.00 value). I'm not sure if they have one for 4Runner. If they do, we might have it as well.
Shipping:
Continental US (1 Set of Seat Covers $20, 2 Sets of Seat Covers $28)
Hawaii (1 Set of Seat Covers $41, 2 Sets of Seat Covers $51)
Canada (1 Set of Seat Covers $55 - USPS, 2 Sets of Seat Covers $65 – USPS)

20% off list is a good deal! unfortunately (for me), these must be getting shipped from the California location - i think the shipping to HI just about outweighs the group deal price for me (the local store is about 15 min away from my workplace).

thank you much for setting this up, though. hope the g/d goes through!

aloha!

FYI there is a huge group buy going on over at Toyota Nation right now. Probably be easier to get in on that one rather than starting another one.
