Starting process to get Shrockworks front bumpers for the 4Runner

We have been discussing getting a front bumper made for the 4th Gens by Shrockworks. They seem positive about doing it, if we are positive about buying it. We started a thread on toyota120.com to get a list of serious buyers. See
http://www.toyota120.com/forum/showthread.php?t=332

More details can be found there. They have done a lot of work for the XTerra guys, and the feedback I have received was extremely positive. Below are some pictures of the bumpers they make for the Xterra.

Hopefully we get enough interested to get the ball rolling. And oh yeah, we will need somebody in Houston, TX to go down to their shop for them to do the R&D measurements, etc.

Some pics of their new generation bumpers on the Xterra.

So far we have still not met the number of serious buyers required to get the project off the ground. More info can be found in this post

So to any of you guys who are serious about getting a plate type bumper for the 4th Gens, please check out this thread and get on board.

Thumbs up

There are a number of us who would like to utilize Shrockworks. This could be a great opportunity to have front/rear bumpers (tire carrier!), skids, sliders, and who knows what else made by another quality vendor.

It's all about options; the more vendors we support, the better variety of products we get.

Bump for interest!!

Looks like these guys do a great job of accentuating the lines of the vehicles with their bumpers. Looks like good stuff to me. Git-r-done

The info is in the links above. AT this point of the process Jim estimated the price to be $750-$1000. As the development goes underway he will be able to pin down the price better. Currently the 05 Xterra bumper is $700 or so, and the 4R shouldn't be that much more expensive. However we will only know as the process moves forward.
