I'm not a big fan of the chrome though, I've seen some nice gunmetal grey or just polished steel that looked better.

yeah, i was thinking that too. haha, imagine that stuff on a 1st gen. that would just look funny. although even on the 4th gens, at least for me, i don't think 4runners are ideal for pimping out like that, i'd sooner do that to a real luxury suv. maybe i've been too conditioned in seeing the bling on escalades and navigators and such.

Look funny on a 1st gen? I beg your pardon. As a matter of fact, I just purchased those rims last weekend. I went with the 32s though since I wasn't messing around.

today i was wheelin a lil in the desert and we came across a new h2 with lambo doors, and 22" rims.. needless to say i felt compelled to stop in front of him and dust his CAR pretty well.. then watching him try and chase me for about 30 seconds was fun too..

let me catch a 4runner with chromes

I don't know why people care so much about what others do to their cars/trucks..... My only concern is what I do with my own. Everybody is going to have different tastes, so just do what makes you happy with your own ride. I don't understand why someone would even go to the length of "dusting" someone's ride because they didn't like what they saw.... that's about as immature as it gets.

Big wheels on a 4WD truck is like dulling down a sweet hunting knife which can then only spread butter. Big wheels on 4wd SUVs just turns them into a glorified station wagin but if you never off road then I guess it's your call and your money.
