loud lifters?

loud lifters?
just bought a new 2010 tacoma, 4.0. has some ticking in the motor, sounds like lifters! anyone heard of this? called dealership and they said they get it all the time and it is normal and there is no problem! anyone have a 4.0 with alot of miles or heard anything on it? only have 1700 miles on mine and it's driving me crazy! also anyone one had a issue with a newer model oil sludge? thanks

Overhead cam motors (at least from Toyota) do not use lifters.
The newer motors DO use roller rockers though. More moving parts tend to make a little more noise, so you likely should just deal with it. Besides, the truck is under warranty so if it breaks, just take it back!
