Leaky 3rd/Axle housing

So The idiots that replaced that gasket 30k ago won't cover replacing the gasket again, even though its leaking, AGAIN.

I honestly have never heard of this problem with the 4th gens.

So I was like fine, I'll do it my self.

Got everything together, draining the rear, and started to undo the nuts.

And then I see the delightful sight of a broken stud. I hardly put ANY force on it and it spun.

The fu#$#$ over-torqued it. How would I go about and replace these studs?

I am Not happy with Pauly Toyota right now....

TIA.

What do you mean it spun? Did you break it off or did it just unscrew?

I think that is what they forgot, the RTV. They guy at the parts counter said to use RTV to make sure it doesn't leak and I was like already got it covered, but 4 years ago one of your techs didn't.

Okay, so it turned out that the studs are screwed in, big relief. Now I'm stuck at getting the third off.

Well Ive spent a good amount of time figuring that out, lol. I didn't want to pull it all the way out cuz I didn't want to deal with bleeding the brakes. But now I have to.

Now all that's left to do is put RTV on the gasket (anything special to it?), and put everything back together.

Before I closed up shop, I decided it would be to my advantage if I organized everything, so I organized all the bolts and nuts and washer and sockets and wrenches relating to this. Much better now, before I was having a hard time doing anything, now that I can find everything and nothing is in my way, its all good.

As far as putting all back together, anything special? I should take into account when putting the rear back together?

And why didn't anyone ever tell me the 3rd member weighs 3,000#? lol, I nearly smashed my finger, but it's gonna be a bitch getting it back up.

Thanks for your help guys, it is definitely appreciated.

(Sorry if there is grammatical errors and such, its 3:30 here and I have a killer headache, so its off to the shower and then bed for me.)
