How Many Miles???? XREAS

Hey All,
What kind of mileage can one expect out of XREAS system? I'm very happy so far with 70000 miles on the oem XREAS gear. Just want to know what to expect. I drive mostly Hwy and some off road 80%-20%. Thanks...

Holly crap...70,000 miles! I'm just about to do 50,000 and I travel a fair amount.

I ditched my XREAS after about 25,000 so can't help you. Don't think you will find the answer to this question until a bunch of people start reporting problems. I would expect 5 yrs out of the system however, if it mainly on road/hwy use.

A little over 80k, X-Reas still seems to work. A bit looser and I get some squeeks if I get a sharp bump (speed bumps)

I've got 12k on my wife's 05, soon to be mine, I think she needs a Sienna. Although maybe she can keep the 4Runner and I'll get an FJ Cruiser.

I'm thinking he got the 4Runner in 03, so 70k in 3 years is not bad. That's a little below what I do.

If you're doing mostly highway, your system should last you quite a while. Keep an eye out for any leaks.

Yep the Runner will be 3 years old in Dec. I do put a lot of miles on, mostly hwy. I do a little off road and tow a 5x10 utility trailer with my cruiser on it when I go out of town with it. The Runner has been the best vehicle I've owned. Yes I have the "clunk" when brakes are released (lube only works for a short time) and I had the A/C - trip display go dark on one side but that's the only bad thing I can say. It's great off road. Never got me stuck anywhere---- guess I'm not trying hard enough. :-)
