I Need Help.
My 04 4runner Has 4.7l V-8 And Is Awd. It Was Re-posessed.
The Tow Truck Picked Up Rear Of Truck In My Driveway And Drug It Downhill Backwards About 20-30 Ft.
It Was In Park And The E-brake Was On.
I Just Got It Back Today. Underneath The Front There Is Grease Or Thick Gear Lube Leaking Out Badly On Both Sides Somewhere Near The Brake Assy's.
When I Came Out There Is A Big Splat Of Grease Under Each Front Wheel.
I Asked What To Do If The Vehicle Was Damaged And Everyone (bank And Tow Company) Keep Passing The Buck And Pointing Fingers To The Other.
Does Anyone Know What Happened Or What Is Wrong Causing The Grease Or Gearlube To Leak??

 

If it's grease it's probably from the CV joints, either the boots got split or the clamp around the axle came off. I don't know if towing it backwards 20-30 ft could do that. More likely it would happen by picking up the front of the vehicle.
Sounds like the tow company is to blame, though you'll probably have a hard time getting money from them.
