I'm confused. In your sig. it says you're running 265/70/17s ... but in your post you said 275/70/17s or 32x11.5 ...

?

Sweet, sounds like you are all working on the tire scenario as we speak. Everything is set for the bay area this fall, so now I just gotta juggle my architecture with NE and all will be good. I have stickers made up, and you will all get some asap. Let me know what color you all want individually, and I can get the exact size you want as well.

Also, let me know what you think of the stickers etc...

4Route-
Hit me up either back here or on aim and I can get you any tire you want at just over cost...that goes for the rest of you as well...tires and wheels, lugs, spacers, etc...you think I could afford my 22's @ retail??...no way.

Glad to hear all is well in the world of yotatech. Enjoy the upcoming weekend and get pics up with the new rubber! Thanks all.

I'd rather get my truck all set up with your complete lift kit first, then I'll get tires later when I can afford them. I'm babysitting my ass off (and mean little kids who throw cat crap at me and climb on my head and tell me to smell their feet and try to stuff sour candy in my mouth all day long) to make some money so that I can buy some more of your stuff.

by the way - are you still going to use nitrousenterprises.com? just curious because I've been keeping my eye on it just so I don't miss anything.

On another note, any of you kids get your tires on yet???...just curious to see what size and make you all end up throwing on. Keep me posted...and take care.

tried out some firestone destination mtrs (see thread here). tires look great, but rubbing on the body mount = problem. i am thinking of relocating the body mount, or going w/smaller calipers. toyota says they bolt right up to the backing plate...we will see. i also have the local tire shops looking for ANY 16" wheel which will clear the 17" wheel calipers. timber, tracy and i are all in the same predicament now w/tires/wheels!

my vote for stickers? black of course. i will PM you about your tire offer, thanx!

Ok , i get these sizes mixed up constantly - I have , for the record, P265/70/r17's Revos. Whic as i understand is the rough equivalent of 32/11.5 tires (or so Im told)... regardless, I'm happy... they look sick...

ahriman-
I assume you are talking about the peice that comes out toward the door/body panel from the body mount in a cone shaped appearance??...From those trimming pics I posted you can see how I was able to grind away the extra steel and get a nice tight cut around the mount. I clear that area just fine now with the 36's, and see no problem why you would not be able to clear the 285's with just a little ginding and trimming in that area. To be honest with ya, I have had to cut the plastic off the fenders and the inner fender much more than anything else. Hit me back if you have any other problems that I may be able to help you trouble shoot.

I will be shooting you a PM shortly regarding the 3 different tires you mentioned to me.

SD4Runner-
Hey, sounds like you got your tires! Looks like a perfect size if you intend to wheel but maintain great clearance and encounter minimal rubbing. When you get a break, I am sure we all would love to see some pics. Those tires are more like a 32x10.5, measuring 31.6x10.4 to be exact. Regardless, a good choice.

FYI- Pan hard drop brackets are in full swing finally!...and our website should be up by the end of the weekend. I will keep you all posted.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Billy

holy crap! i was so focused on having to trim plastic, i did not even notice that you had frankensteined your body mount bracket! i assume you have been out twistin' the frame on some gnarly hills to test the strength of that mount. stupid question since you are making this post, but i gotta ask anyway: you are comfortable w/the amount of steel left?

Good, glad to see that you were able to see my massacre of the frame around the mount. With a good grinder, the job can be done in an hour or two. Aesthetically you can clean it up pretty nice so that it is essentially unnoticable. As far as your questions regarding the tensile strength, etc...I am very confident that the grinding I have done at this location is fine. I am not going to condone or promote it, but I have had a bunch of my friends take a look at everything, and every one of them felt no strength or rigidity was lost. I am going to weld on some new peices one of these days to clean everything up.

Of course though, like you said...wheeling would/is the best test, and all has held up just fine. Sorry for the slow response on those tire prices...they are in my ride and my girl has it...I will have them up asap though.

well, okay! i think you may have inspired me. i have been thinking about grinding but feared the possible results. if i understand you correctly you are thinking of closing in the opened side of the bracket. what i have in mind is grinding out a divot, and welding in a "smiley face" shaped piece. cool, new shoes on the way!

no worries about the prices, but if you could get those to me by tomorrow i am pretty anxious to get them on! thanx billy, nitrous to the rescue again!

Yes, it is that one. I know ... Revtek says that, but at one point they said it was because they hadn't yet had the chance to test it on an xreas'd 4runner, so they didn't want to claim that it would work.

I don't know ... all I know is that I am not the only one with Revtek and xreas, and that I have had absolutely no problems.

But, talk to Billy ... he has some awesome solutions for lifting our trucks without forfeiting the xreas shock travel in the rear.
