Check out the Jan/Feb 2006 issue of 4WD Toyota Owner page 25 lower left picture from the 2005 SEMA show!! ARB finally did up a 4th Gen Bull Bar, check out the picture in this issue. I just noticed it yesterday, looks real nice!! It also has an OME lift, air lockers and a mean looking roof rack!!

 

Heres a couple pics of that FJ with the ARB bumper & winch from the Detroit auto show, the roof rack is the factory optional rack with the optional lights & shovel & stuff on the side of it.

The ARB bumper is not officially ready for sale yet. We have a list of about 40 people on toyota-4runner.org waiting for it. The last information we received from ARB was the SEMA truck was a prototype and they are waiting for some final information from Toyota before they release it.

That FJ looks mean with the ARB. Hopefully ARB will get off their rear ends with 4th Gen bull bar, it's way overdue. The pics do look nice though!

 

Can someone explain to me the functional benefits of a bull bar?

 

It is far stronger than the factory bumper. They make a solid mounting point for a winch and shackles. As the name bullbar implies they are widely used for protection against an impact with large animals or the occasional Yugo that gets in the way.
