John John John..... why'd you go to the dark side?

I was talking to the dealer the other day and he told me that the Tundra is going to get a diesel for the 09 model year. Mainly he said because it has a 3/4 ton frame but yota does'nt have an engine available just now that can handle that much weight... FWIW the FJ will be getting a diesel also... whatever they do i hope the offer a manual trans, with it... cause auto boxes suck... lol

You shoulda waited John...
Merry Christmas aviator

Well there was a diesel tundra at SEMA, but they said dont even think about expecting one... not going to happen anytime soon...

Besides, it wont have a SFA, probably wont have a manual 6 speed (even the SEMA one had a 5speed manual), I doubt it has a manual transfer case... I could go on and on and on... I like toyota, still own one... but they arent even close to HD... My dodge has a fully boxed hydroformed frame, the tundra doesn't.

I doubt we will see a diesel in anything made by toyota anytime soon, they dont seem to want to deal with it.
