diff drop kit is not necessary since our cv's are nice and level.

I think toytech already has a diff drop for the 4th gen or else maybe speak to roger brown.

Lance was having some conceptual issues RE diff drop, so maybe speak to him as well. I dont think you need a diff drop for like 3.5" of lift, the cv angles look fine. Higher I dunno, but you suspension droop will suck, maybe get some uniball UCAs to get a bit more droop.

Look at my avatar and it'll make sense
For me swaybars are a must, drive with me on the road and you will see why. I'm used to sporty cars so SUVs felt like big fat pigs on the road, the 4R with XREAS was the best at that time. It was still slow through corners, now I'm just used to going slower. But I can't drive like a grandma on the road. I do offroad though, hellion on the road and grandma offroad. You seem the opposite way round

So I still need to figure some magic on the front, to get the best of both worlds. Please note some magic will be required

articulation, not lift! We need anything to improve articulation since anything above 3 to 3.5" is a waste because you start killing your articulation- what good is a couple more inches lift when you have no more wheel travel?

ESPECIALLY since we have such a good ATRAC system on the 4th gen, you NEED articulation keep those tires touching the ground to take advantage of it.

Giant lifts w/ no wheel travel= lots of stucks. IMO, if you need a diff drop on a 4th gen, you are band-aiding a bigger problem.

Sway bar disconnects would be great- that would improve matters greatly! I would want it connected on road as well.

donahoe did mention today that they won't have rear shocks for the new runner until sometime after april. they are however realeasing new rears for the '05 taco in april though. bummer.

taco's use leaves and shocks. 4runners use coils and shocks.

the shocks are generic and can be purchased by travel length whereas coils must be manufactured. leaves can be purchased by size so that's why taco's are out sooner.

very true. but you'd think with the new runners being out quite a bit longer, something would be out by now.

there's never enough demand for aftermarket stuff for 4runners. i've been attempting to work w/ many vendors to only get denyed.

it's only been recent that we're getting stuff because they know it's compatible w/ the taco/4runner mix.

it's all economics.

yeah, i know. they never really put much out if it's too specialized. but hey, there are definitely plenty of runners around, with more to come.

the aftermarket industry is exploding. i think a lot more goodies will start to work their way out soon enough.
