2005 with 166 or 2013 with 240
Hey there!
looking for some general input as I’m trying to make a difficult decision. I’ve found two tacomas I like, one is a 2005 with 160 thousand kms and the other is a 2014 with 240 thousand kms. They both have one or two owners and extensive service history but I’m wondering if y’all think it would be wiser to go with less kms for an older truck or more kms for a newer truck?
both TRD sport and are priced similarly. Any input would be appreciated!

wrong thread?
I thought that you were comical. Although removing an engine would make sense, it is a lot of work. Calling yourself Master Mechanic Gio was at the time funny. Rotating a motor fourteen times, seemed to be overkill. After I replaced a timing chain, the first time in years, I now realize that you are pretty smart. Always doing belts you basically set them rotate the motor a couple of times and if the lines line up, you are good to go.
