2004 4Runner SR5 "The driver's side door won't open!"

I need help. My driver's side door won't open from the inside or outside. It appears to be permanently stuck in a locked position that cannot be released by the key or automatic locks, making the door useless. Other than being raped by a dealship on this repair can anyone offer any other solutions? It appears its going to require the panel to be pulled off from the inside and I'm not against doing it myself but I would love to know what clips or screws I won't be able to reach that I'll likely break in the process and how much I'd be getting into vs. being bent over by the dealer.

Does the lock actuator move at all when the lock/unlock button is pressed?

The lock actuator appears to work because all 3 other doors and the rear unlock and lock as they are supposed to. Its just the driver's door that does nothing.

No he meant the lock actuator in the drivers door not in the others.

Thanks for clarifying further. Then in that case no, it doesn't work. The automatic lock switch moves all locks except the driver's door. If you try it with the key it will unlock and lock all doors but the driver's remains stuck in lock.

So the physical lock is stuck then?
You can't force it to move with the key?

Have you tried graphite or any other lock lubricant?
