pre wiring
To clear up any doubts about wiring and what not, NOT ALL 4-RUNNERS ARE PREWIRED FOR FOGS OR EVERY OPTION. I can beyond a shadow of a doubt tell you that this is true. I have to deal with it every day, remember assumptions is the mother of all f-ups. Only way to tell for sure is see if you have the sockets available on your wiring harness. Another thing, there are several different wiring harnesses available for each make and model. As to why all 4Rs are produced in Japan, who knows for sure?

Yosman,
Where did you get the bull bar from. It looks sweet! I have the exact same SR5 as you (color and all). I'm thinking of going with the chrome bull bar instead. How securely does it fasten to the truck? Where should I go to get it and what can I expect to pay?

Safari Bar...
It's not a bull bar, actually it's a safari bar from westin.
I got the idea from someone on here after talking about that $500 plastic sport bumper. One member said that a bull bar was a little thick for the 4runner, and that the westin safari bar has tabs for aux. lights. So I went with the safari bar because it is a little thinner and had the tabs cut off. Touched up after the cuts with black semi-gloss paint and there you have a thinner bull bar. I know westin makes the chrome and the black finish. The tabs were not that long, about 1 1/2 " - 2", You might not want to cut them off. I got the black one since the running boards, tints, roof rack, and hood protector are black. I'll tell you what I paid for the black one, I am not really too sure about the price of the chrome one. I got mine off ebay from LongLewisFord. He had it for $120, plus $25 shipping, but I got him to lower the shipping to $15. PepBoys could order it for you they wanted $120 for the Bar and $40 for the mounting kit. LongLewisFord, includes the mounting kit and the bar for $120. I know he sells the chrome ones, and they have a website. (GoSaveOnline.com) Even if it doesn't show on the site just call the number on there and he can get it. Here is one of his post on Ebay.

It says on there he has the chrome one for $215, but I would call and talk to him.
The mounting was easy it took me about 30-40 min. Two mounting plates that go on the front cross bar of the ladder frame, torque to 65 ft. lbs. The bar bolts on to the plates at 35 ft. lbs. Done. It seems pretty strong. My father stood on it, but then again he is a light weight skinny man. (estimated 150 lb)
Westin constantly does rebates as well. I didn't realize that when I bought it that they did so many rebates. The month before I bought it they had a rebate for $25 off the black bar and $50 off the chrome (mail in). The month after they had another for $50 off the black, and $75 off the chrome (mail in). So I would check Westin's direct website, under rebate. They may not update it but there is a phone # you can call that will tell you the current rebate.
Hope this helps.

Part and part number
Since there is a lot of talk about part numbers and center consoles I am hoping someone can help me.
I am looking for a particular part number. I have a 2003 4 Runner Sport Edition and I want to replace a single part on the center console assembly. It's the part that goes around the automatic shifter, and has 3 holes for the DAC button and two others, plus it has the ashtray.
Toyota said over $200 bucks, but I found a site that seems really cheap, the problem is getting the proper part, and without a part number seems impossible. Can you help?

Ok, here it goes.
From what I can see, if you want the entire cover, clips, sockets, everything, hole covers then it will be $228, or $178 on partznet.com.
Partnumber 58805-35060
If you just want the plastic shell, no clips, screws, wires, button hole coves, nothing at all but the plastic cover that should be $88 dollars.
Partnumber 58822-35030
It should be pretty accurate since I had my boy at Toyota check it out.

Thank you,

So you got 3" in the front and 2" in the back? How did you shave off the back spacer? How much was the install, and do you have the air suspension on your limited?

'I just had a 3" Revtek lift kit installed on my '04. '
Nice setup. Did you install it yourself? Your statement implies you had it installed by a third party. Ar ethose 285s or 315s.
Always liked the galatic grey.
