Please help!! I am not a mechanic, but need some advice. Last week, I started hearing my rear breaks grinding which was a surprise to me because I didn't hear the normal warning sounds of pads rubbing together previously. This was a metal on metal sound. Approximately 24 hours later, I was driving on the interstate and heard an incredibly loud warning signal. The next day, as I was leaving my neighborhood to take it to be checked, the warning noise came on again and the breaks failed completely. I didn't make it out of the neighborhood. I realize I need to have it towed, but any others have this experience?
I need reinforcements!
