The Yota wave?

I was drivin back from town today and passed a Yota pick up, and in doing so we both kinda lifted our hands off the steering wheel and waved at each other. And this isnt the first time this has happened either. Happened several times with different drivers.

And after that I started thinking I have owned and driven alot of different vehicals in the past and have never had anyone wave to me cause i drive it. I have owned every thing from Mustangs and Camaros to currently a 07 Dodge caravan and no one waves at me cause I drive a similar caravan ..lol.

The only other time I have whitnessed something similar is when riding my motorcycle.

Has anyone else ever noticed the "Yota wave" or is it just me? I know us Yota fans tend to stick together and I have the upmost respect for anyone driving a Toyota, but I didnt know we had a "wave"...lol

There's a couple lifted yota's that wave but I've never ever had a stock yota wave. However this is NJ we are talking about and it's full of a-holes so it might not be accurate.

I always nod or point if I see another Toyota Truck or 4Runner. I also drive with the amber lights on to blend in with the new gen Toyota's hahah. Most people don't notice but I usualy atleast get a nod back.

It happens here all the time. I live in a town of about 30,000 people. Here i would honestly say about 35% of toyotas have a 4" lift lol. I know all the guys with the big ones and we all tend to wave at or pull into a parking lot to talk. Mine is a great conversation piece cause its only half there lol. I am proud to be the person with the biggest tires on a yota around here lol.

Ive noticed people with stockers or people that dont appreciate their trucks wont wave...but the cared for/lifted/modded,rebuilt, whatever..theyll look to see if theirs is better, then when they discover it is, theyll look away. But if its not, they probly will...

I've had the wave once, but then again, I've only seen one other lifted yota. It happens to me all the time in my VW, with other VW owners as well.

I always wave, but generally, you can tell if the person is just using it as a daily driver or its their DD/fun rig...
all the fun ones are covered in dirt, or at least have some mods done to them... my favorite is when their truck is stick, but they spooled the rear, and you see them draggin ass around a corner...

I wave at toyota trucks all the time. Usually because there are so few around here, I feel happy knowing that someone else still holds onto their rust bucket.

All I get in my Supra is "What's wrong with your car?"
