Im going to my friends house to work on my truck, 15 miles away, in the country, all back roads, ill probably go 55 or 60.

Ive got a coolant leak and im going to go work on my truck with my friend. So would you drive with out a hood?

no real need to mark the holes, at least there wasn't on my 91

the holes in the hinges and the bolts that bolt the hood to the hinge are tapered, so it centers itself right up

I drove for a few hours without my hood after dropoing my motor in after the rebuild. A few people looked at me funny, untill they saw what it looked like in the engine bay, lol

out of the 4 bolts 2 of them should be tappered, you put those in first to center the hood up and then tighten the other two, I wouldnt worry about driving with out a hood haha, when I did a bunch of engine repairs to my truck a few months ago I took it out for a pretty long test drive with out a hood and I live in a city with no problems
