Worked On The Interior Of The 1986 4Runner!

I spent the weekend in the garage replacing the carpet in my 1986 4Runner I picked up a couple of weeks ago! It was more time consuming than I thought but I am pleased with the results. The breakdown and reassembly was a breeze compared to installing the carpet. I am happy with the overall results and found a $5 Bill in the process while taking out the old carpet.

Nice job! Looks great! I wish my carpet was as good as your old carpet lol

What are your plans with the back panels? Are they in good shape?

The back panels are in good shape other than they are faded. I plan to paint them at some point!

That's awesome! Car fax is great it's like opening a time capsule well unless... You find out the car you bought that was "towed behind an rv most it's life" was really a fleet car!

Awesome though no rust! Half this board is probably jealous, I know I am and I don't live in the rust belt. Most of my rust damage is from p/o not properly preparing the rocker panels prior to rolling bedliner on them. So when it was peeling off and I removed it all, I about cried.

You did a great job getting the carpet down. It is a workout doing carpet but makes a big difference.
