Very entertaining I'm in NW PA. I guess I've taken for granted the ability to site in the rifle nearly anywhere, but I won't any longer. Toyota-Boy, that's sweet your bed is aluminum. Very nice.
Here's a picture of the gas cap on my truck:

The funny thing is that this time last year I was in OH and wish so much that I was back there now (for that particular aspect). I never really went after deer and they still let you poke holes in paper with pretty much anything you want.

Yeah, this area is good for that. Kids even get the first day of deer season off school I haven't hunted in a long time, but the excitement of everyone is fun during that time of year.

I did end up building a new bed. I finished it up this weekend, except for putting some stain or poly on it at some point. I used 4x4's underneath (thanks Evan711 for the idea), 2x4's for the vertical pieces, and decking for the rest. It's all treated wood, and all the hardware that is exposed is stainless. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Here's a photo:

just curious as as to how you mounted the wooden bed to the frame. Thank you! I’m looking to do this to my black 89 ford ranger to make it stand out. Also, did it end up having a good, healthy ride weight? Mine already beats the hell outta me. Thanks!
