wire routing
Hello again all. Would someone be so kind as to tell me, in leighmans terms, the routing path for the fuel pump wires and where they ground at? I'd assume they run right up the frame rail but before I start jacking things up and tearing into things I'd like to have an idea where I'm going. I've got it running better now, however it will try to die soon as I let out the clutch, almost like the pump can't keep up with demand same as if I gas it to quick it wil try and die also.

Before you start doing really hard stuff (pulling fuel pumps, re-routing wires), why don't you TEST your theory that the fuel pump can't keep up?
Disconnect the fuel return line from the Fuel Pressure Regulator; replace it with 1/4" (6mm) clear vinyl tube to a bucket. I get about 1/2 liter/min with the fuel pump running with the Fp-B+ jumper, so when you just start your truck you'll get a tiny bit less at idle. Reach in and open the throttle. You should get fuel in the return line no matter where the throttle is. If fuel is still coming out when you get the engine to die, the fuel pump is NOT your problem.
You used a clean bucket, didn't you? Pour the gasoline back into your tank.
[and no smoking, keep a fire extinguisher handy, the usual stuff around gasoline]

well....
So I found a hole in what I think is the vacuum line for the fuel pressure regulator (diaphram looking deal under the intake manifold). Seems to help since I fixed it. Ill use the bucket method to verify pump as well. However I'm still having issues with my tps, anytime I move the throttle it bogs down and doesn't want to rev all the way out by sound (no tach). So I'm back to fiddling with that adjustment. Thanks again.
