Wiper solution

Does anyone have a solution for how to buy the wiper refill material for a Gen1 4Runner ('87)? The original part went obsolete, but then I found a newer Camry part worked fine, but now that seems obsolete.

Blades used to be available, but are no longer. I used the A450 rather than the A400, which fit and work better. I sit tall in the saddle, so I need that windshield clean right up to the top!

The Camry part is 8521424H90

I just tried to order it, and it was rejected by Toyota.

I'm fearful of j-hook adapters that they'll be janky, and also move the center point of the wiper up higher and I'll lose windshield coverage in the lower areas as a result.

Anyone have a source for the original wiper refills? Or, begrudgingly, a j-hook solution that doesn't move the center-point of the wiper blade?

I put the J hook adapters on mine last week. They cost about $6, so they’re cheap to try out. The good thing is they let you use better wiper blades.

You can still get the blade assembly that uses two screws.
the original part number 85212-60030 has been changed to 85220 -YZZ16-TM

I liked it when you could just replace the rubber insert. I found it pretty easy to zip out the old and slide a new one in. But many were challenged and complained. Pity

i've been using the adapter-type since i bought the 4runners (2013 and 2018). 16" blades, available at any parts store. summer and winter blades, of course. seem to work well to me.

my truck, a 91, already had the j-hook adapters on there. they work great. i've been eyeing some of those new scrub-blades that have 2 wiper blades in tandem on each arm.
